Last year the American Academy in Rome put on a concert celebrating a wide range of composers and performers. The selection of work is by Rome Prize winners between 1921-2000. The four discs contain premiere recordings of new works,
out-of-print scores, and unfamiliar treasures by a community of composers whose music has come to comprise a vital contribution to the American classical music repertory.
