Nike cardboard packaging
During the Beijing exhibition (designed by 2x4) Nike displayed their underlying fundamental beliefs, the desire for lightness and sustainability. In collaboration with Emile Molin (at 2x4) developed a packaging system that would utilize both these fundamentals. During the exhibition Nike released a special shirt, windbreaker and shoe (by Emile Molin).
The packaging for these items were constructed out of a mesh wrap of recycled cardboard. The shoes were wrapped with a die-cut handle for easy use while the shirt and windbreaker were combined into a single wrapped pack. Due to the limited number of the special items, universal graphics were printed on the packages and the specific sizes were hand written.
